No, this comes from a plain brown wrapper, as in Plain Brown Wrapper Games, our very newest member of the e23 family. They debut today with The Bad Guys, a collection of strange, bizarre, and sometimes very dangerous supervillains for your M&M Superlink game. Maybe the plain brown wrapper isn't all that far from the truth . . . take a look at the free preview and tell me I'm not right. We expect more twisted genius from these guys soon, so keep an eye out.– Scott Haring, e23 Manager e23@sjgames.com July 25, 2005: Four Hundred! With the latest rush of new product, we just crossed the 400 threshold. Yay us! With a couple new companies coming on board in the near future, we should continue to add to that number rather rapidly. Thanks for sticking with us, and watch us continue to grow.– Scott Haring, e23 Manager e23@sjgames.com July 24, 2005: Half-Price Sale At Dog House Rules! To celebrate their two ENnie nominations, the folks at Dog House Rules are putting their entire line of products on sale for half price! That means that Sidewinder: Recoiled, the 2004 Gold ENnie award winner for Best Electronic Product is available right now for only $8.25, and Dog House's line of Sidewinder supplements are all available for three bucks and change. You shouldn't pass a bargain like this up!– Scott Haring, e23 Manager e23@sjgames.com July 23, 2005: GURPS Skill Categories -- Free On E23!We've posted another free game aid for GURPS Fourth Edition on e23, and you e23 regulars who are sharp enough to visit this news page on a regular basis (or subscribe to our email update) are going to get an early crack at it!GURPS Skill Categories is a handy little document that lists the hundreds of skills listed in the GURPS Basic Set, Fourth Edition by the various character types that might use them (Animal, Military, Combat, Scholarly, Spy, etc.).
The announcement to the general public about this product doesn't go out until tomorrow, so that means you e23 faithful get a day's headstart. These freebies can sometimes slow down our computers a tad, so grab this baby today while the getting's good! July 22, 2005: Introducing Tabletop AdventuresWe are proud to introduce a brand new company to the e23 lineup today -- Tabletop Adventures! Specializing in game aids for the harried game master, Tabletop Adventures have a fine line of d20 products that can also be used for non-d20 fantasy roleplaying. Check out the new kid on the block, and come away with a ton of bits to fill in the blanks of any roleplaying situation.
Also new today are two supplements for Dog House Rules' fantastic Old West RPG Sidewinder: Recoiled, a new Dungeon Crawl Classic from Goodman Games, and -- last but not least -- a brand new superhero RPG from one of our favorite writers, Chad Underkoffler. Truth & Justice uses Chad's Prose Descriptive Qualities System to make the supers genre work his way. Fans of Chad's work in Pyramid and in his other e23 products should definitely check this one out. July 21, 2005: The Law According To RobinAnd when it comes to running a roleplaying game that rocks, you better listen to Robin Laws, a player, game master, writer, and designer of roleplaying games that rock for more years than he cares to admit to. A few years back, Steve Jackson Games got him to condense his wisdom on running great roleplaying games in Robin's Laws of Good Game Mastering, and now it's available here at e23!
Also new today are two products from Goodman Games, Lethal Legacies and the Complete Guide to Werewolves, plus Battle Armor II: Bigger, Tougher, Cooler from ID Adventures, all chock-full of d20 goodness. Check it all out! July 16, 2005: Back At LastFor the first time in nearly three weeks, I'm back. And so's e23.As most of you know, it was supposed to be only one week. A family vacation in Ruidoso. But on the way back home, we got broadsided by somebody running a stop sign. My youngest stepson was killed, and the rest of us got banged up pretty good. Even now, my work here on e23 will be part-time only, limited to how much I can do before I run out of gas on any given day.
But today, we've got two new products to check out (and a bunch more coming that got sent in the last few weeks from vendors who couldn't know things were shut down at this end). Take a look at Modern Advances: Alien Abductee, the modern prestige class for the otherworld traveler, and The Jade Magi Sewer Crawl, a good old fashioned rollicking adventure for fantasy roleplayers of 4th to 6th level. 2005 News: • Jan • Feb • Mar • Apr • May • Jun • Jul • Aug • Sep • Oct • Nov • Dec 2006 News: • Jan • Feb • Mar • Apr • May • Jun • Jul • Aug • Sep • Oct • Nov • Dec 2007 News: • Jan • Feb • Mar • Apr • May • Jun • Jul • Aug • Sep • Oct • Nov • Dec 2008 News: • Jan • Feb • Mar • Apr • May • Jun • Jul • Aug • Sep • Oct • Nov • Dec 2009 News: • Jan • Feb • Mar • Apr • May • Jun • Jul • Aug • Sep • Oct • Nov |
