The result: Diana: Warrior Princess! Marcus Rowland (Forgotten Futures) and Aaron Williams (Nodwick, P.S. 238) have combined on a wonderfully demented RPG that lets you go wild and mix anything you like into your modern (or thereabouts) RPG, from Queen Victoria to UFOs to the Warren Commission to Karl Marx . . . for starters. You owe it to yourself to check it out. August 30, 2005: Welcome To ComStar Media!OK, it looks like the email distribution of e23 News has been fixed, so let's get this show on the road:
First up is an official welcome to a new publisher, ComStar Media. Headquartered in Salem, OR, ComStar has hit the ground running with three cool products: Mecha Aces, an anime RPG using the FUDGE system; Super Hero Minis, a cool set of super-cheap cardboard figures for any superhero roleplaying game; and the flagship of their line, Kevin and Kell the Roleplaying Game, a complete RPG set in the popular world of the Kevin and Kell comic. The Kevin and Kell RPG is a full-color book, filled with reprinted comics, complete stats for 25 characters from the comic, and is fully approved by Bill Holbrook, the strip's creator, and features an original cover drawn by him. This is the book for Kevin and Kell fans, and lovers of all things fuzzy, furry, and funny! August 26, 2005: A Bug In The SystemWell, maybe we won't start deluging you with catch-up announcements quite yet . . .Seems the email component of our e23 News announcements hasn't been working. Every time I write one of these little news items, it not only posts on the e23 front page at midnight, it also goes out to a subscriber email list at the same time. On the days we don't have news, we would still have an email announcement if there was a new product uploaded that day. But it's come to our attention that the email part of all this hasn't been working. Since mid-May.
Now, I think I have a bit of an excuse for the past couple of months. But I don't have any excuse for the latter part of May and all of June, and I'm not the only person around here who's supposed to notice these things. So we're going to work on the email problem, and when we get it fixed, then I'll get the announcements rolling again. August 25, 2005: First Day BackWednesday was my first day back in the actual Steve Jackson Games offices, only 7-1/2 weeks after the crash.Only. Sheesh. Obviously, I'm feeling a whole lot better now. Not 100% yet, but I have a lot of my strength back, the doctors have me on a course of therapy that should have me fixed in another month or two, and I'll be back in the office part-time for a while, and then back to full-time sooner than you'll know it.
Got a lot of catching up to do, announcement-wise. We'll start tomorrow.
