October 27, 2005: Coming Soon

Things are getting into gear here at e23. An online version of Authentic Thaumaturgy went up this week, and we've got more books on the way. Just to whet your appetite, here's what's coming in the next few weeks:

In Nomine Superiors: Lilith

I know what you Need.

Enigmatic. Immortal. Selfish. Mercurial. Human. Love her or hate her, the Princess of Freedom is a mover and shaker of In Nomine's Hell. Underestimate her, misunderstand her, and she'll take advantage.

Now the GM can also take advantage, with In Nomine Superiors: Lilith.

What's it like to know your only safety is in your net worth? How do the Free Daughters stay that way when their Mother's protections are thin and tenuous? And what happens when a Daughter of Lilith redeems?

With information about the Princess and her plots, her servants and Daughters, as well as Geases and GURPS, 3rd Edition conversions . . .

You Need this. You Need . . . Lilith.

On Sale November 4!

GURPS Traveller: Psionics Institutes

You have the power . . .
But you don’t know how to use it.

Just asking for the location of a psionics institute can land you in prison, so how do you find – much less attend – one without getting arrested?

GURPS Traveller: Psionics Institutes describes everything you need to roleplay finding and attending an institute, developing psionic talent, and connecting with the Psionics Underground.

  • Locate Psionics Institutes in the Imperium, the Zhodani Consolate, and Red Zones
  • Face the gauntlet and earn the right to attend an institute
  • Train at an elite psionics institute
  • Make contacts in the Underground and in the powerful psionic kites
  • Use your newly developed psionic talents in public and private service
You have the power . . . Now use it!

On Sale in November!

In Nomine Core Rules

This book contains the core rules for the In Nomine roleplaying system. The setting is introduced by two short stories, A Bright Dream and A Dark Dream by author Derek Pearcy. Character creation concepts are discussed, along with the game mechanics, resource mechanics, essense, resonance, dissonance, and falling. In Nomine also describes each of the choirs of angels and bands of demons, introduces 13 Archangels and Demon Princes, and discusses soldiers of God (and Hell), ethereal spirits, celestial spirits, and the undead.

This is a reprint of the hardback second printing of In Nomine, published in 2000.

On Sale in November!

October 26, 2005: New Today

Got another batch of goodies from the nothing-if-not-prolific Louis Porter, Jr., he of the eponymously named Louis Porter Jr. Design. LPJ sent us 14 new products this week (well, new to e23 at any rate), which we are happy to add to our ever-growing inventory. The titles cover everything from modern maps to mecha accessories to classic horror movies redone as fantasy adventures. You should check them out.

October 25, 2005: Come And Set A Spell – Or Cast One

One of our favorite books here at Steve Jackson Games has been Authentic Thaumaturgy by Isaac Bonewits, the only person to get a degree in Magic from the University of California (is this a great country or what?). And now Authentic Thaumaturgy is for sale on e23! If you missed it when it was first released, or can't find it in your local game store anymore, now's your chance to check it out.

October 22, 2005: Fear The Conspiracy!

It's GURPS Conspiracy X, now available here on e23! GURPS Conspiracy X combines Eden Studios' Conspiracy X, one of the creepiest of the modern-day settings to ever infiltrate your brain, with the deadly, high-tech cutting edge rules of the GURPS System. The result – over 300 pages of high-wire terror, alien conspiracies, and unseen enemies.

And this also makes Eden Publishing a new member of our e23 family. Welcome!

October 20, 2005: Get Your Preview Custom-Made!

Our friends at ComStar Media went above and beyond the call for us here at e23 recently . . . and that means they went above and beyond the call for you, too!

Their Super Hero Minis PDF is hard to show off properly with a preview of just a sample page or two . . . and since it's only seven pages long, there's a danger of giving too much away. So the folks at ComStar took the time to produce a custom-built preview PDF that shows it off beautifully without the embarassment of overexposure. Nice work, guys!

And now that they've gone to all that extra trouble for essentially no money, the least you faithful customers can do is click over and check it out.

e23 just passed the 500 mark of files available.

500.

Like the number of miles at Indy. Or Daytona. Half a thousand. It's even got its own obscure Roman numeral: D.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm impressed, at least a little bit.

Thanks for sticking with us, and stay tuned – we got more good stuff coming!

October 1, 2005: In This Corner: Louis Porter Jr. Design

Time to say hello to another company that has joined e23: Louis Porter Jr. Design. LPJ has hit us in a big way with 21 PDFs, most of them connected in one way or another to their new d20 Modern version of Haven: City of Violence, which is one of those 21 PDFs now for sale here on e23.

(By the way, is it me, or is "Haven" the worst name for a city where all this horrible stuff happens since Eric the Red landed on a rock covered with ice 9 months of the year and decided to name it "Greenland"? Just saying, you know?)

Anyway, you can check out the whole list of new LPJ stuff with a quick click on the What's New? button on any page. Louis Porter Jr. Design has a lot more products in their line, and we hope to add them soon, so keep your eye out.
