May 18, 2007: My Monster Can Beat Up Your MonsterMonsters and Other Childish Things is one of the best "little games" I've played in a while. The basic theme is simple: you play a kid who has Relationships that he has to maintain, a Monster that wants to keep him happy and healthy, and Things that want to hurt him. The trick of it is in the Relationship with the Monster -- monsters don't necessarily understand that if Bobby down the lane made you cry, eating his face off is not a reasonable response. No, it really isn't. And for six bucks, how can you not want your very own pocket-elder-creature-of-eleven-dimensions?
